The woman, surnamed Lee, died Wednesday at the age of 94 She was born in 1924 in Cheongjin, Hamgyeongbuk-do Province. Lee was one of the thousands of women who were forced to serve in military brothels during Japan's colonial rule of Korea. With 2 survivors of the World War Two atrocity passing away this week... only 35 others remain alive.
